Reflection

Growing up college was a place that I knew I definitely wanted to attend. All through out high school I jumped from one college to another until I finally chose the one I felt was right for me. Upon graduation I thought college would just be an extension of high school and not much was going to change, but now that I look back I was wrong. Everything changed, how I view college and how I choose to make decisions. I have learned to prioritize what is important in order to do well in college. Everything is so much harder then I thought but I know it will be worth it in the long run because everything takes hard work and dedication. I also keep in mind why I am doing all of this, it’s for my parents. To give back to them and give them the life they couldn’t have . To have them be proud of me and to know that now I will take care of them. My aspirations haven’t changed,I want to be happy and in a place where I don’t have to depend on anyone and can be stable on my own.
6 months ago I feel like my writing wasn’t the best. Mainly because I didn’t have a specific structure of writing, so everything would be all over the place. I felt overwhelmed by all the little things that could ruin my essay. I also hated writing drafts because I felt as though there was always something that could be changed, so I would never be fully content with what I have. Now I learned that writing doesn’t have to be stressful, there are many ways of writing I just have to find the one that is right for me and luckily I did. I found that making a layout of what I want to achieve in my essay works for me. Have all the steps mapped out makes it easier for me and all I have to do is follow this steps. I also found that my papers don’t have to be perfect because this is all a learning process, no one is going to have a perfect paper write away. It takes a lot of time and editing so I shouldn’t stress about it too much. Overall I think I am getting the hang of this college thing and will hopefully accomplish my goals.
